On November 22, 2023, a delegation from the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce (VCCI Mekong) visited and exchanged ideas with the Singapore headquarters of Protus Group under the introduction of the Counselor of the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore.

The VCCI Mekong delegation is led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong Linh, and other members include the Planning and Investment Department from 8 provinces in the Mekong Delta, as well as some leaders from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. Both sides had in-depth discussions on the cooperation of the Vietnam project.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment of the Mekong Delta Province, as well as the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, have held talks with the Protus Group.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong Linh gave a detailed introduction to the current situation and development plan of the Mekong Delta region at the meeting, and expressed her intention to cooperate with Protus Group in multiple fields such as agriculture, industry, aquaculture, energy, etc., especially in the advantageous products of the region, such as rice and fruit.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong Linh also shared the important position of the Mekong Delta region in the country, such as 54% of rice, 65% of seafood, and 70% of fruits; The region has over 64000 enterprises, most of which participate in export trade.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong Linh pointed out the numerous problems currently facing the Mekong Delta region, including climate change, water pollution, and particularly the problem of insufficient funds for business operations. This is the main purpose of the delegation’s trip to Singapore.

Other members of VCCI Mekong introduced their respective situations on behalf of provincial planning and investment departments and enterprises, hoping to cooperate with Protus Group as soon as possible.

Mr. Gao Minghui, co-founder and chairman of Protus Group, delivered a speech at the meeting, stating that Protus Group will arrange a visit to the leaders of various provinces in the Mekong Delta as soon as possible, and hold talks with local enterprises in need.
